RSForn pro export to Excel file not working 13 years 1 month ago #16698

Ever since I have updated to the new version of RSFORM I am unable to open an excel file without getting the message the file is corrupt this is happening with every file which is created as part of the export submissions. Any idea as to what is causing this problem, I never had this problem before.

Hello,

The library used by RSForm! Pro to generate the XLS file for submissions does not correctly generate all the UTF-8 characters. In this case it would be best to generate the CSV file for the submissions and then use the method presented in the following article for the CSV file to import it in MS Excel.

I have this problem too

And its very difficult to be doing what is posted by admins

I exported to CVS, but all utf chars are showing simbols

And been searching and replacing data each time I export, it takes time

The bad thing, is that other admins in my page don't know how to do it well

I hope this issue could be solved

This is most likely generated by the fact that the collation for your generated files do not have UTF-8 NO-BOM encoding. Try converting the generated CSV file to the above mentioned encoding.
