TOPIC: Setting Checkbox In RSForm Pro - RSMail Plugin

Setting Checkbox In RSForm Pro - RSMail Plugin 13 years 3 months ago #16062

Hi All:

I am modifying our existing RSForm Pro enrolment form so that it also also adds a registrant to the appropriate RSMail list (as well as storing all their information in an RSForms file). When I use the RSMail subscription field in my RSForm Pro form, the default value is "unchecked." Is there a way that I can set the default value of the RSMail subscription field to "checked."

Thanks for any help.

Ta ra 'wan,

I would like to know this as well, why isn't this included in the documentation.

Make sure the field you use has the following values set: subscribe and unsubscribe

If it's a checkbox, where do we enter this values? is it under "attributes" ? What's the proper formatting?

Hello,

The RSForm!Pro - RSMail! integration process was changed over time. Now, you enable the integration from the form's Properties tab and by selecting an "Action" (subscribe, unsubscribe or let the user decide). These are explained here:

www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/v...sformpro-rsmail.html

If you are going to "let the users decide", you can use a radio group. The radio group items (edit the radio group component > General tab > Items) should look like:

subscribe|Subscribe me[c]
unsubscribe|Unsubsribe me

The pipeline "|" splits the value from the label. Left part is the actual value needed for this integration to work, as the right side is the label that will show in the frontend.

To make an option be selected by default in the frontend when the form is showed, you can use "[c]" as in the above example.

why would I use a radio button and not a checkbox? Every other website uses a checkbox to subscribe them to their newsletter.

This is my form:

So to answer my question, it's not possible to use this plugin for a checkbox field? instead of a radio field?
