TOPIC: Problem with IE9 form in plugin not submitting

Problem with IE9 form in plugin not submitting 14 years 1 month ago #13268

When I use a form on a page using the plugin, the form will not submit in IE9. No error are shown. In all the other browsers everything works fine.

Anybody experiencing the same behavior? Is there an easy solution?

Hello,

This could be generated by several factors, not necessarily RSform!Pro dependent (template for example). It would help to post a link to the form in question so we can have a look.

Hello,

This is actually an Internet Explorer 9 bug. When the <form> is inside a <p> tag it won't submit. This happens regardless if the form is created with RSForm! Pro or written from scratch in HTML.
When you type {rsform 1} your editor (TinyMCE for example) adds it as <p>{rsform 1}</p>.

One option would be to disable the editor (use "No Editor") when adding the {rsform 1} syntax so it doesn't enclose it in <p> automatically.
Another option would be to go to your editor's settings and set it to use <br /> tags instead of <p> tags. For example, TinyMCE can be configured like this by going to the Plugin Parameters and setting "New Lines" to "BR Elements".

Regards!

Just a simple workaround would be to use a differt setting than paragraph.

I used address to wrap around the {rsform } tag, you can select it at the top of TinyMCE.

This worked for me!

BTW, the problem only persists in IE9, below IE9 its fine (also the compatible mode works good).
