TOPIC: RSForm! Pro, PayPal plug in and Coupons/Vouchers

RSForm! Pro, PayPal plug in and Coupons/Vouchers 14 years 1 month ago #13262

I have a very simple form set up and use the PayPal plug in so that users have to pay to submit the form.

I would like to be able to offer a field for coupons/voucher codes so that users can apply a discount.

Is there a way to do this and if it is some custom work would anyone like to give me quote?

Thanks

I realize this is a very old question, but I wanted to provide an answer for anyone else that googles this issue and comes across this thread...

This is certainly not a great solution, but it is working for me at the moment...

You will need a couple of fields and a page break to accomplish this.
  1. Have your Single line product for whatever your registration cost is, and assign a value to it.
  2. Create a checkbox (Name: "Use Coupon" or similar) with only one item (default unchecked) that says "I Have a Coupon"
  3. Create a Text Box (Name: "Coupon Code" or similar) and set the attribute to "password" and the default value to whatever you want your password to be
  4. Use a Condition that "Coupon Code" will only display if "Use Coupon" is checked
  5. Insert a page break and make sure that it does validate the inputs during the page break
  6. Create a drop-down menu item (Name: "Coupons" or similar) with two values (0.00|Select Coupon; and -10.00|COUPON)
  7. Use a Condition that "Coupons" only displays if "Use Coupon" is checked
  8. Have your "Total Price" above the Submit button

Again- not perfect, but working great for me!

So... how do you get it to re-calculate the price?
