I am creating a form in Swedish, but when I try to enter words containing none-English characters with umlauts (å,ä,ö) into the field labels, they are not accepted generating a splash with error:
Please specify an unique name, using only alphanumeric characters for this component.

Can anybody advise what causes this and if there is a cure?

I am using RS Forms! Pro 1.3.0 R36 with Joomla 1.6. The database is set to UTF8_general_ci.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
