TOPIC: View Own Submissions

View Own Submissions 14 years 5 months ago #12030

Is there a way for users to view and edit their submitted data? They can't have access to the results of other users, just their own.

I think that would be a great idea, I would like to know if this could be done too.

Hello,

Yes it can be done... but it will require a lot of custom scripting. Basically you will have to use mod_rsform_list or the new RSform!Pro submissions view to display the submissions and a parameter that will load the data into the form if a parameter is set.

It can be tricky to implement but it can be done.

I thought editing from the front-end was on the list of things to do? If not, then it would be great to know exactly how to do this.

I think this would be hugely valuable for taken this component to some sort of CRM app or invoicing form.

Please consider this a priority!

quoted above

1a) Create menu item - RSForm!Pro - view submissions
1b) Look for the field: Show submissions for user ID - enter "login" without quotes

2a) Create or edit the module - rsform list
2b) Look for the field: Show submissions for user ID - enter "login" without quotes

Please, can you be more explicit? I don't understand how to proceed.

Thanks

This would be greatfull, but how can i manage to edit submissions and if there is a calculation in the form the calculation is set the new data. Eg if an calculate is: field1 + field 2 = total. if in a submission the field 1 is changed the total should be also automatic changed. Is this possible????

I found Laura's post helpful, you make a menu item with rsforms few submission and you set the filter to login and the access level to registered user.
I do know that there is no easy way of editing the layout of the list view and the pdf view

also I don't think that the user can edit the submitted form, only view the data that was provided initially

How can i manage to edit submissions is al clear thing.
But if there is a calculation in the form the calculation is not set the new data. Eg if an calculate is: field1 + field 2 = total. if in a submission the field 1 is changed the total should be also automatic changed. Is this must be possible by editing some script.
Also edit submissions in the backend does not re-calulate, how can i re-calculate submissions in one or the other way??
Please help

I'm having the same issues as the previous poster. I have totals in my original form that are not being recalculated when the submission is edited via the Submissions Directory feature in the front end. Any way to fix that? I've searched for an answer on these forums, on the RSJoomla site, and online for an answer to this with no luck. I finally gave up and did a feature request before contacting customer support. (That's next if I don't find an answer.) Recalculating fields and saving them to the database is definitely a feature that is needed if a user is allowed to change form information on the front end.

Calculations are not currently being triggered during the submission editing process. You could try replicating the calculation scripts via the CSS/Javascript area.
