TOPIC: Can RS Forms do this

Can RS Forms do this 13 years 6 months ago #11965

Hi

We want to add a section to our club web site for our members to record their cars dyno runs on. They need to complete a number of fields when recording the data and upload the sheet.

Our members then need to be able to sort and restrict the viewed data based on some of the completed fields.

I know that I will be able to do the capturing of the data using RSForms on the web site. I believe that I can use mod_rsform_list to display the captured data, will I be able to get the site to sort & restrict the data as required without me needing to do any major customisation? I am not a programmer so have limited technical skills available to customise the application.

Thanks

JohnB

Hello,

If I understand correctly you are trying to display only a part of the submitted information based on the user's selections. Unfortunately the mod_rsformlist module does not have this feature available at the moment, you can only build a fixed layout for your module from Extensions > Module Manager > RSform!Pro Frontend List. You can choose what fields you want to display in your front-end with the help of the standard placeholders available for RSForm!Pro. For example if you want to display the information submitted in a field named "test" from your form, you will have to use the following placeholder in the "Row Layout" field from the module configuration: {test:value}. You can read more about this module here:
