Show number of available tickets on Event description page

by infoteam.corporation on 25 Jul 2012 16:33 | 8637 Hits | 10 comment(s)

When you have set a max number of tickets (Max Attendance Amount) for an event, it would be good to show the number of tickets available on the Event Description page.

For example, if Max Attendance for my tour is 10 and 2 tickets have been sold, the registration page should show Available Tickets = 8 (or something similar).

@Larry

RSEvents!Pro already incorporates everything for this. We have even created a specialized article for this:

Remaining tickets

Still no solution to this really basic request. I am not well-versed in php, and the page on customisation is not detailed enough to guide me as to what to do.
This appears to be a common request (surpise, surprise!), so if anyone else has solved this problem please share

Show number of available tickets on Event description page

I've added manually, but do not think right, is a basic option.
As we can define different themes every event!

I urgently need this function to display on Event description and on the 'Join" page - above the ticket drop down list. (where I have an event registration form)
My PHP know how is not so good.. so I would really appreciate it if someone can send me the code and show me where to put it in an overide (that I can do)

I'll even pay for it! steveorwd@gmail .com

hould be part of the core for an Events Pro (!) version in my opinion.
I was surprised it was not in there but just realized that was the case after the purchase of RSEvents!Pro.. in the meantime I created an override who does exactly that and shows availability with icons, so it is possible :)

How did you have managed it.
Would you like to share this until the standart built?

Will also be pleased to offer this

I agree, this is a basic feature that I would prefer to not have to create on my own without playing around for hours.

Hans, could you please share your technique with us since RS is not doing so?

@Tom

Various users have various needs. The great think about RSEvents!Pro is that it offers the flexibility to display anything you like via template overrides:
