Repeating events... impossible!

The repeating events feature is great, but one thing makes it impossible to use...
If you have an event happening every Monday say, it gets shown each and every time on the events listing page!!! So one repeating event fills up the whole page. Very ugly and unnecessary.
To fix, have just the first of the series showing (similar to the repeating events module) on the events listing, with a good, clear link/button to expand the whole series of this repeating event.
Otherwise we can't use this essential feature.
