Separate Amoutn of Hack Attempts vs. Login Attempts

A request is to have the number of attempts separate from the login attempts. For example, I would like to set:

Number of attempts for most hack attempts: 1 before banning

Number of login attempts before banning: 5

This is because a hack attempt should mean auto ban the IP. But, a login attempt a user can try 5 times.
