Subscribe to multiple sessions in 1 event

One event can have several sessions, e.g. a hosting event where multiple sessions by organizations/persons are given during the day.
I would like to see that under one main event, several sessions/sub-events can be created. Preferably each one with a maximum number of attendants.
So, how exactly would specify that an event has "sessions" ? ...would it be by creating event "duplicates " as with recurring events ?
