Filtering feature for Directory View

I would like to suggest a filtering feature for the different views on a Directory.

It could be a specifik filtering feature or it could maybe be combined with a layout, where the If-clauses could be used. Like in the Submissions Layout.

With this feature you could have different lists for submissions with different status, or one where a specific date has passed etc.
