Performing a new installation

Note: This method applies to RSSearch! component, plugins and modules installation.
  1. Login into the Joomla! backend administrator

    • Joomla! 3.x administrator login

  2. On the top menu, select Extensions > Extension Manager.

  3. Click Browse and select the zip file you downloaded. Click on Upload & Install.

  4. If installation was successful, you should see this message

    • Installation Successful

If the installation produces any errors, check if:
  1. The archive you were trying to upload is not corrupted
  2. The archive is being correctly uploaded to your webserver
  3. The following folder permissions are correctly set: 755 for /components, 755 for administrator/components, 755 for /media and at least 755 for the configured Joomla tmp folder
