Tutorial - Using RSForm!Pro with the Salesforce Web2Lead plugin

The RSForm!Pro - Salesforce Web2Lead is a plugin that once installed and enabled will allow you to add sale leads to your Salesforce account. In this tutorial, you will learn how to install the plugin, then how to set up the Salesforce integration.

Technical requirements

In order to make the plugin work, you need:

  • Joomla! 3.x
  • Latest revision of RSForm! Pro

Getting the RSForm!Pro - Salesforce Web2Lead Plugin

In order to download the RSForm!Pro - Salesforce Web2Lead Plugin you must have at least one active code of RSForm!Pro. Simply go to the My Downloads section of our website (You must be logged-in in order to see the My Downloads section).

In the list of downloads go to the RSForm!Pro section, and download the RSForm!Pro - Salesforce plugin.

Installing the plugin

Once you have downloaded the RSForm!Pro - Salesforce Web2Lead Plugin, you can install it using the default Joomla! installer as shown in the image

The RSForm!Pro - Salesforce Web2Lead Plugin should auto-publish itself, but if that doesn't happen, you can go to Extensions / Plugin Manager and enable it. The plugin is located in the System group and you can identify it by the name of "System - RSForm! Pro Salesforce"

Enabling the integration

Once you have enabled the plugin, go to RSForm!Pro » Manage Forms and edit the form where you want to use the RSForm!Pro Salesforce Web2Lead Plugin. You will notice that one more tab has appeared.

In order for the form to produce leads you will have to enable the integration and set up the parameters.

Salesforce RSForm!Pro integration fields

After the integration has been enabled, you will have to add field placeholders that you wish to pass to Clicking on a field will display a list of available placeholders (this can also be typed in). If you are using a field named "test", the correct placeholder will "{test:value}".

Additional fields have been added for the Salesforce integration, namely: description, mobile, fax, website, salutation, revenue, employees. Also support for Salesforce Custom Fields has been added.

In order to add Customn Fields to the integration you will have to add the Field's Id and the Value that you wish to place in the field. The Id of the field can be found in the URL when editing a field. For example, here:

the Id is 00N20000002vxoW. For the custom field's value you can use a field placeholder(i.e.: {field_name:value}, where "field_name" is the name of the field) from the form in which you have enabled the Salesforce integration.

Note: While working with Checkbox groups, you need to add the value of "1" to the item e.g.: 1|Yes

Enabling the debug mode, will allow the configuration of intermediary email address to which an email with the lead information will be delivered upon submitting the form.
