Template positions

Module positions were suggestively named for an easier understanding of their location. The picture on the right explains their space orientation and arrangement.

The following list will describe the module positions basic usage.

RSClario! positions:

  1. Top A, Top B, Top C: These are the highest module positions, they are usually used for the site's logo or / and search module. Also, these are the only selectable positions for the Social Links feature.
  2. Main Menu: the main menu horizontal bar.
  3. Slideshow: A slideshow can occupy this area.
  4. Message Display: You can add a Custom HTML module here, containing a message you want to show to your users
  5. Featured Fluid A, B, C and D: area used for something more distinguished. These feature type positions are fluid, meaning that, for example, if you only use A and C, they will be automatically stretched over B and D.
  6. Breadcrumbs: typically breadcrumbs area.
  7. Left Column, Right Column: these positions are displayed to the left of right part of the actual content. Mostly used for a secondary menu or other modules (for example, all RSJoomla! components' modules fit well in these positions).
  8. Content: The web page's content will be displayed here
  9. Inner After Content: Placed immediately after the page content. It is enclosed, just like the page content, in between the left and right columns.
  10. After Content Colored Fluid A, B, C and D: placed immediately after the content position. Their background will be colored using the color scheme's color. These positions are fluid, meaning that, for example, if you only use A and C, they will be automatically stretched over B and D.
  11. After Content Colored Fixed A, B, C and D: placed below the After Content Colored Fluid A, B, C and D positions. Their background will be colored using the color scheme's color.
  12. After Content White Fluid A, B, C and D: Multiple use positions. Their background will be colored white. These positions are fluid, meaning that, for example, if you only use A and C, they will be automatically stretched over B and D.
  13. After Content White Fixed A, B, C and D: Place anything in these positions. Their background will be colored white.
  14. Bottom Fluid A, B, C and D: Anything can be placed in these positions. If, let's say, only A and D are occupied, they will be automatically stretched over B and C.
  15. Bottom Fixed A, B, C and D: General use, similar to the Bottom Fluid positions, but will not be stretched over empty positions.
  16. Footer Fluid A, B and C: these positions are located in the lower left, center and right part of the page. Copyright information, for example, can be added here. If, let's say, only A and D are occupied, they will be automatically stretched over B and C.
  17. Footer Fixed A, B and C: Similar to the Footer Fluid A, B and C, with the only difference that they are fixed (will not be stretched over empty positions).
