My original text was somehow lost and the text it shows now does not cover it completely.
What I said approximately in my original text was that the content plugins should be able to handle images and videos just like Simple Image Gallery Pro and Allvideos, both by Joomlaworks. Also it should be able to play videos, I am not sure if this is being handled by the content plugin or K2 (which I am using now).
How did my posting a new idea suddenly take over this already-existing one?
