Other common problems are:
- If you've created your own translation, please make sure you have used the HTML character code equivalents for UTF-8 characters. If you've chosen not to, make sure that the file is saved as UTF-8 no BOM. The BOM (byte order mark) displays garbage characters when loaded and this could cause the JPEG output of CAPTCHA to be missinterpreted, rendering it unusable.
- CAPTCHA can be disabled for certain types of users. You might be logged in as a user that has CAPTCHA disabled. Read more about configuring CAPTCHA here.
- If you are using a caching component, make sure that RSTickets! is not cached.
- If CAPTCHA is displaying but not accepting the correct code, please check whether "Case Sensitive" is set to "Yes" or "No". A case sensitive code must be typed exactly as displayed in the security image (lowercase and uppercase letters matter).
