The message field is not active

If you're having troubles on entering a message in your ticket submit form or reply form, then you're most likely facing a JCE Editor related issue. There are 2 possible solutions for fixing this situation:

 

1. Using a Default Joomla! Editor

Go to the Administrator panel of your website > Global Configuration > Site tab > set the 'Default Editor' to either:

  • Editor - None
  • Editor - CodeMirror
  • Editor - TinyMCE
 

2. Configuring a JCE Editor Profile

Steps to take:

  • Go to Components > JCE Editor > 'Profiles';
  • Check the existing 'Front-End' profile and click on the 'Copy' button;
  • Click on the new duplicated profile (it should be named 'Copy of Front End') to edit it;
  • Set a 'Title', 'Description', set the 'Status' to 'Published', and the 'Ordering' to 'First'
  • Scroll down to 'Components', check 'Select from list', and then click in the field to find and select 'RSTickets!Pro'
  • Select the groups that you would like to use this profile in the 'User Groups' field
  • (optional) Click on the 'Features & Layout' tab, and add or remove any buttons you do or do not want the users from the above group to have access to.
