The RSMembership! Configuration tab allows you to control some general component parameters.

Joomla! Patches
This tab allows you to apply two patches (for modules and menus).By applying this patches, you will be able to restrict modules and menus to certain memberships. Patching can be easily reverted and will not produce any errors in your website. Please make sure that the files listed below are writable in order for the patching to work.Expiration Notification Settings
- Number of emails to be sent per cycle - this setting allows you to control the number of expiration notification emails that are sent per cycle
- Check for notifications to be sent every - this allows you to set a time interval between notification checks
Subscriber Fields
This section is only left as a legacy, you can now add and remove any number of custom fields from the Custom Fields section.Subscribing
- Checkout Process: Select how the checkout process is handled - either one page or multiple pages that collect information from the customer.
- Show login form when subscribing: Enables you to display or not the log default Joomla! login, upon subscribing to a membership.
- Create the user account: When payment is received / When order is placed.
- Allow customers to choose their username - NEW feature added in the latest release that allows users to choose their username when subscribing to your memberships.
- Allow customers to choose their password: By setting this to Yes, customers will be able to choose their password when signing up for a membership. If set to No the password will be generated automatically (random) and emailed to them along with the complete user information.
Other
- Currency: currency to be used throughout your payment processors
- Price Format: this is the price format shown to the end user. You can use the {price} and {currency} placeholders. If you do not want to use the {currency} placeholder, just type the desired currency format. For example you can use: ${price} to show $1.00, USD {price} to show USD 1.00, {price}$ to show 1.00$ and so on.
- Show Text Instead of 0: set this to Yes if you want to show the text FREE! instead of actually showing 0 for memberships that cost 0.
- Delete pending transactions: if transactions haven't been confirmed after the configured amount of time, these will be automatically deleted.
- Disable Joomla! Registration: by disabling the Joomla! registration, users will be redirected either to RSMembership! or another page you can setup below.
- Registration Page URL: if you disable the standard Joomla! Registration, you can redirect the user to this custom URL. If you'll leave it blank the user will be redirected to the memberships page.
CAPTCHA
The filter spam subscriptions, you can use CAPTCHA or reCAPTCHA fields in your membership registration form.- Enable CAPTCHA - this setting will enable or disable the CAPTCHA/reCAPTCHA field for your registration form;
- Display CAPTCHA For - Unregistered/Registered - you can choose which user groups will need to pass the CAPTCHA validation;
- Characters - the number of characters the CAPTCHA image will contain;
- Generate Lines - in order to increase security you can choose to generate random lines in your image;
- Case Sensitive - choose if your CAPTCHA field validation will take the input case into consideration;
- reCAPTCHA Public Key - if you are using reCAPTCHA for your security, you will need to enter the public key retrieved from the reCAPTCHA site in this field;
- reCAPTCHA Private Key - this key is also retrieved from the reCAPTCHA site in order for the validation to work;
- reCAPTCHA Theme - choose the reCAPTCHA theme that best integrates with your template.
iDevAffiliate
RSMembership! allows you to sell membership as an affiliate to a third party source, using iDevAffiliate, with only three configuration options:- Enable Integration - No / Yes
- iDevAffiliate URL: this is available on your iDevAffiliate account configuration area
- Track Renewals - No / Yes: if enabled, the renewal purchase will be tracked to the affiliate
