Updating to a newer version
In order to update your RSForm!Pro installation, go to the main component panel and click on the Update button. Click it. A new windows appears that may contain one of the three messages below:
- Your version is up to date, no downloads available. If you see this message, you have the newest version of RSForm! Pro. No need to update
- A new version is available. Click here to download the update. If you see this message, follow these steps:
- Log in with the rsjoomla.com account that contains the RSForm!Pro license.
- Download the updates using the link provided.
- Once the component is downloaded, go to the default Joomla installer: Extensions > Install/Uninstall.
- Browse the file and click "Upload and Install".
- Please make sure you entered your code correctly in the configuration script. You will not be able to update without the license code.
Note:
- If you are updating to RSform!Pro revision 30 or above, we recommend creating a backup of the RSform!Pro tables (these are the ones that contain "rsform" in the table name).
- If you have custom scripts that are using the RSform!Pro core functions, these will no longer work in revision 30 or above.
