In this episode we are going to talk about RSTickets!, our Joomla! Ticketing extension.
RSTickets! is an adaptable help desk ticketing system specially designed for Joomla!.
The extension serves to a broad range of Joomla! based websites. Any company providing services and products that require interaction with clients can think of getting an application that handles client requests and organizes staff members to be able to quickly support the up-coming issues.
1.To access the component, head to Extensions -> Components -> RSTickets
2.Presenting "Configuration" tab features: here you can configure emails, CAPTCHA, autoclose tickets, tickets listings, autoclose tickets and available RSTickets! plugins.
3. RSTickets! has 4 sections: Departments, Groups, Staff members and Customers.
4. Departments are used as categories or sections for tickets.
5. There are 3 departments set as default: Billing, License, Tech Support.
6. You can customize each department using "Add a new custom field" option.
7. For the "Tech Support" department we will add 2 more fields: Name and Email
8. These 2 custom fields will be required when a customer submits a ticket to Tech Support
9. In the Groups tab you can set permissions for staff members
10. The customer can set the ticket priority or attach files
11. You can automatically close redundant tickets and issue a notification to the submitter
12. To extend RSTickets! functionality, you can install the RSTickets! Cron Plugin, which parses emails as tickets.
