We have a client who is not willing to upgrade to Joomla 3 yet and is concerned about a recent email from Authorize.net stating they are depreciating TLS 1.0 and 1.1 connections via API.
Can anyone confirm that the RSMembershpis payment plugin for Authorize.net is able to use TLS 1.2? If not, is there an update available for this within J2.5 that would allow for compatibility?

P.S. We are doing everything we can get them in Joomla 3, but they are not able or willing to yet.

We were wondering the exact same question. Did you ever find an answer to your specific question?

Not a decisive one, unfortunately. The most helpful response that we got was this:

You'll need to make sure your server is using an up to date OpenSSL library that supports TLS 1.2 (since 1.0.1):
www.openssl.org/news/changelog.html

And cURL supports TLS 1.2 (since 7.34.0):
curl.haxx.se/docs/manpage.html#--tlsv12

Regards!

PS: If the sandbox works right now, the production (live) will work as well.

We took this to mean that, in theory, as long as our servers are operating up to those specs it shouldn't cause issues.
Otherwise, they provided us changelogs that didn't relate to our Authorize.net integration questions:

Although we provide a changelog for the component itself, currently there isn't one for the Authorize.net integration plugin:

www.rsjoomla.com/support/documentation/r...rship-changelog.html

I would highly recommend upgrading to the latest Joomla! 3 version as this contains various security fixes unavailable on older Joomla! versions.

Hope this helps you some!
