Ep. 62: Restrict FLEXIcontent with RSMembership!

With RSMembership!, you can restrict the access to Joomla! component specific URLs: K2, FLEXIcontent and ZOO.
In this episode we will show you how to restrict the access to FLEXIcontent items and categories.

We have previously created the memberships without imposing any content restrictions.

 

Step 1: Download the FLEXIcontent plugin

  1. Head to Resources >> Customer downloads >> RSMembership! >> Shared Content plugins >> FLEXIcontent

 

Step 2: Install the FLEXIcontent plugin through the default Joomla! installer

 

Step 3: Restrict FLEXIcontent items

  1. 1. In the Joomla! backend panel, edit the membership that you want to restrict.
  2. 2. In the "Shared Content" tab, click on the "Add content" button.
  3. 3. Choose the "FLEXIcontent item" option to restrict the content.
  4. 4.The access to the FLEXIcontent item is now restricted.

 

Step 4: Restrict FLEXIcontent categories

  1. 1. In the Joomla! backend panel, edit the membership that you want to restrict.
  2. 2. In the "Shared Content" tab, click on the "Add content" button.
  3. 3. Choose the "FLEXIcontent category" option to restrict the content.
  4. 4. The access to the FLEXIcontent category is now restricted.
