RSMembership! allows you to add custom fields to the default membership subscription form.
How to add custom fields?
- 1. In the Joomla! admin panel, head to Components >> RSMembership! >> Custom fields.
- 2. By default, the RSMembership! subscription form has 5 fields: address, city, state, zip and country
- 3. The default subscription form fields are editable. Besides the "name" and the "email", all of the fields can be removed.
- 4. You can add as many fields as you like, using the "Custom fields" tab.
- 5. You can create custom HTML, text box, text area, select lists, checkbox/radio groups or calendar fields.
- 6. In our example, we'll add as custom fields a select list, a text box, a text area and a checkbox group.
- 7. For each custom field, you can add its values (items) and the additional attributes (css or Javascripts).
You can also add a validation rule, a validation message and php/MySQL code.
In our example, we've added a custom HTML field that shows in frontend the subscription date. - 8. The new subscription form fields are listed in the "Custom fields" tab.
- 9. In frontend, subscribers will use the RSMembership! subscription form, when purchasing a new membership.
- 10. The default subscription form now has 5 new fields: role, portfolio URL, your projects, skills and date.
- 11. The user is subscribed to membership after the payment is received.
