Ep.19 - How to verify Joomla! site ownership for Bing with RSSeo!
Before submitting a Joomla! sitemap to Bing, you need to verify site ownership in Bing Webmaster account.
RSSeo! lets you verify site ownership for major search engines from the backend Joomla! administrator panel, without uploading a meta tag or a HTML file.
In this episode we will verify a Joomla! site for Bing.
1. To verify the site, in the backend Joomla! administrator panel head to Extensions -> Plugin Manager -> System RSSeo!
2. In the "Plugin Parameters" tab from the right panel enable sitemap verification for Bing
3. Access the Bing Webmaster Tools account (http://www.bing.com/webmaster)
4. We will use the second verification method: Meta tag authentication
5. Copy the meta tag content (the string in brackets)
6. Go back in the backend administrator panel and paste the meta tag content in the System RSSeo! plugin
7.After saving, you may verify the site in the Bing webmaster account
