RSForm!Pro - RSMail!

With this plugin you will be able to create custom subscribing forms for RSMail!.

Tutorial - Using RSForm!Pro - RSMail! plugin

The RSForm!Pro - RSMail! Plugin is a Joomla! 1.5/1.6/1.7 plugin that once installed and enabled will allow you to add custom subscribing forms for your RSMail! component. In this tutorial, you will learn how to install the plugin and then how to build up the form.

Technical requirements

In order to make the plugin work, you need:

• Joomla! 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 or 2.5
• Latest revision of RSForm! Pro
• Latest revision of RSMail!

Getting the RSForm!Pro - RSMail! plugin

In order to download the RSForm!Pro - RSMail! plugin you must have at least one active code of RSForm!Pro. Simply go to the Customer Downloads section of our website (You must be logged-in in order to see the Customer Downloads section).

In the list of downloads go to the RSForm!Pro section, and download the file called rsfprsmail.zip

Installing the plugin

Once you have downloaded the RSForm!Pro - RSMail! plugin, you can install it using the default Joomla! installer as shown in the image

The RSForm!Pro - RSMail! plugin should auto-publish itself, but if that doesn't happen, you can go to Extensions / Plugin Manager and enable it. The plugin is located in the System group and you can identify it by the name of "System - Rsmail_rsformpro_subscription"

Adding the RSMail! form component

Once you have enabled the plugin, go to RSForm!Pro » Manage Forms and edit the form where you want to use the RSForm!Pro - RSMail! plugin. You will notice on the left side of the screen, just under the common form components, the new RSForm!Pro - RSMail! plugin.

In order for the form to be compatible with RSMail! newsletter you will have to add the RSMail! component. Also you can customize your newsletter form with any type of components.

Creating a new RSForm!Pro integration

When creating a new RSForm!Pro Integration in the Integrations tab of RSMail! you will have to select the list in which the new subscriber would be added and the form which contains the RSMail! component.

Mapping the list fields to the RSForm!Pro components

After selecting the list and the form , you will have to map the components of the form with the fields of the selected list.

In frontend:

After mapping the list fields to the RSForm!Pro components, users will be able to fill in the custom form in frontend and subscribe to newsletter.
Notice that users must check the subscribe box before submitting their data.

RSMail! Subscribers list

After subscribing to newsletter, users will be saved in the RSMail! newsletter list.
e.g.: In our example, the subscribers will be saved in the "My subscribers" list.

To view the subscribers list, in the Joomla! backend panel, head to Components >> RSMail! >> Subscribers and select the newsletter list.
