Configuration - General
The Configuration area enables you to setup RSTickets! features.

General

RSTickets! general

  • Please enter your code to receive updates: Paste here your RSTickets! code in order to receive updates for your product. If you don't enter your code the Updates tab will not work.
  • Date Format: Choose how dates will be displayed throughout the site.
  • Show RStickets! Link in Footer: Shows the RSTickets! by RSJoomla! footer.
  • Show RStickets! Menu: Shows the RSTickets! menu (Tickets, My Tickets, Submit Ticket). You can set this to No if you plan on using the Joomla! Menu to allow access to RSTickets!
  • Receive Tickets from: Everyone: Both registered and unregistered users will be able to submit tickets. If a user is unregistered, a username will be automatically created and the password sent to the specified email address. Registered Users Only: Only registered and logged in users will be able to submit tickets.
  • Use UTF-8 MySQL Connections: This executes the "SET NAMES `utf8`" MySQL query when RSTickets! is initialized. It's useful when working with UTF-8 characters.
  • Username custom link: Whenever a username is displayed, it will show this link. You can use this to connect your ticketing system with your forum, Community Builder or any other component. Use the {userid} placeholder to prefill the Joomla! user's id. Eg. index.php?option=com_something&id={userid}
    Example: If you want to integrate RSTickets! with a Community Builder profile, use this custom link:
    index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userProfile&user={userid}
  • Staff Can Add Tickets to: The staff member can add tickets (if he belongs to a group that allows him so) to all departments or assigned departments (only departments he belongs to)
  • Current Time: This displays the server's current time. It's only for informational purposes.
  • Timezone: You can set your own timezone and all date and time settings throughout RSTickets! will be affected by it.
    Note: The Timezone option is enabled only for PHP5+ versions. PHP4 does not support this setting.
