Subscribers are potential users that could join a certain event. Anyone can subscribe by accessing Guest Menu from the front-end. Depending on the group permission the subscriber status can be moderated by the site administrator, being able to set it's state (accepted, pending, denied), and add/delete and edit subscribers details. If it's required subscribers can select a ticket for the event and choose a payment method.
This payment method is defined by four Joomla System Plugins :
- RSEvents! Offline Payments Plugin: a plugin provided by default with the standard RSEvents! package that will the site administrator to store data for offline payments.
- RSEvents! PayPal Plugin, RSEvents! 2CO Plugin and RSEvents! Authorize.NET Plugin: This gives subscribers the possibility to pay for tickets using Paypal, 2CO or Authorize.NET(these plugins can be purchased separately from within the View my license codes area, details section).
If a customer is not a site registered user, an account will be created automatically and a validation e-mail will be sent to him after he/she subscribes. Subscribers can have access to a set of files specific to the event if it is allowed by the administrator. In this way your subscribers will have access to a ticket pdf for example, or to various documentations. You can set subscribers links to point to their profile if you have a community extension installed (CB, JomSocial, Joomunity).
If the Components > Settings > Events > Enable Registration of Guests is enabled no user will be created, but the customer will be considered subscribed, based on the required email address in the subscription process.
Note:Older versions of RSEvents! (below revision 26) can also use the RSEvents! Wire Transfer Plugin: a plugin provided by default with the standard RSEvents! package that shows to the subscriber, the bank information related to the chosen event. These information will be used by customers to pay for a ticket.
