Creating a new language pack

To create a new site (front-end) language pack, follow these steps:

  1. Download the English administration (front-end) example language pack listed in the Downloads area.
  2. Unzip the file.
  3. Edit the install.xml file and apply the changes accordingly.
  4. Edit and translate the en-EN.com_rsevents.ini file. Note that will also have to rename the file according to the adjustment made in the XML file.

To create a new administrator (back-end) language pack, follow these steps:

  1. Download the English administration (back-end) example language pack listed in the Downloads area.
  2. Unzip the file.
  3. Edit the install.xml file and apply the changes accordingly.
  4. Edit and translate the en-EN.com_rsevents.ini file. Note that will also have to rename the file according to the adjustment made in the XML file.
Note: We recommend that you use the corresponding HTML code for UTF-8 characters. If you choose not to use HTML codes for your UTF-8 characters, please make sure that you save the file with UTF-8 no BOM encoding.
