RSForm!Pro - Constant Contact

The RSForm!Pro - Constant Contact Plugin allows you to integrate your custom newsletter forms with the email-marketing manager.

With this integration you will be able to create subscription forms, pass users data to your Constant Contact account and assign them to the existing lists and groups.

You can download the plugin from the Customer Downloads area of our website (make sure you're logged in).

Tutorial - Using RSForm!Pro together with Constant Contact

The RSForm!Pro - Constant Contact Plugin is a Joomla! plugin that once installed and enabled will allow you to create custom subscription forms for the email-marketing manager. In this tutorial, you will learn how to install the plugin, then how to set up your Constant Contact integration.

Technical requirements

In order to make the plugin work, you need:

• Joomla! 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 or 2.5
• Latest revision of RSForm! Pro

Getting the RSForm!Pro - Constant Contact plugin

In order to download the RSForm!Pro - Constant Contact Plugin you must have at least one active code of RSForm!Pro. Simply go to the Customer Downloads section of our website (You must be logged-in in order to see the Customer Downloads section).

In the list of downloads go to the RSForm!Pro section, and download the file called plg_constantcontact.zip

Installing the plugin

Once you have downloaded the RSForm!Pro - Constant Contact Plugin, you can install it using the default Joomla! installer as shown in the image

The RSForm!Pro Constant Contact Plugin should auto-publish itself, but if that doesn't happen, you can go to Extensions / Plugin Manager and enable it. The plugin is located in the System group and you can identify it by the name of "System - RSForm!Pro Constant Contact"

Enabling the integration

Once you have enabled the plugin, go to RSForm!Pro » Manage Forms and edit the form where you want to use the RSForm!Pro - Constant Contact Plugin. You will notice that one more tab has appeared.

In order for the plugin to work you will have to enable it from Extensions > Plugin Manager, enter the following account details in Components > RSForm!Pro > Configuration > Constant Contact:

• Constant Contact username: the username of your Constant Contact account
• Constant Contact password: the password that is required to access your Constant Contact account
• Constant Contact API Key: each Constant Contact service requires an API key. You can get yours here

After selecting your desired form, you will have to: go to the Constant Contact Integration tab (Components > RSForm!Pro > Form Manager > edit a form) and enable the integration for the form select the action (subscribe/unsubscribe/let the user decide). If you choose the "let the user decide option" you will have to specify a field that will contain the following values: subscribe and unsubscribe. choose the list you will be working with (defined in your Constant Contact account). map the form components to your desired list fields for the "Merge Vars" section - this will basically specify which list column takes which form field.
