Since RSevents! revision 23, the old component overview has been turned into an active dashboard, thus improving the overall administrator experience.
The new dashboard view is actually configurable: you can choose what elements can be displayed and moved around (drag and drop) to optimize various administrative actions. The displayed dashboard elements can be adjusted from the RSEvents! Settings area, Dashboard tab.
Besides the shortcuts to various RSEvents! configuration areas (Events, Archive, Subscriptions, Categories, Locations, Themes, Designs, Groups, Import, Settings, Check for updates, Get support and Go to front-end), you can now also have a upcoming events module which provides a easy way to edit the edit and preview its listings. Along this, some general stats are also displayed: Subscribers and Comments (latest 5).
Other new features include the shortcuts to the synchronized items: Google Calendar and Facebook Events. When configured, these buttons will allow you to grab events from your Google Calendar or Facebook accounts to your RSEvents! installation. You can read more on how to set up the synchronizations here.
