Hi, I'm trying out this system for my site, but it seems to fail every time I try to install the component. I get this error:

* JInstaller::install: There is already a folder called '/home/paramore/public_html/administrator/components/com_rsfiles/' - Please initially check whether:
• the Extension is already installed
• the file names in the XML file are spelled correctly
• there are no XML files listed inside the extension.xml file
• all of the files (not including XML files) are correctly listed in the extension.xml file and there are no duplicate entries
• there is an empty folder listed from a previous installation attempt
* Component Install: Could not copy PHP install file.

The extension is not already installed, there isn't even a folder named com_rsfiles in the administrator folder. (I've tried to do the install after creating the folder--it also failed.)

Is there something I need to change before installing?

I'm in the same boat with this issue. Anyone figure this out?

I am having the same issue. And I am a bit concerned with the lack of response to this on this form.

I tryed to take legacy 1.0 but comes the self error.

Who powered the RSJoomla? Where is the man for the solution of this problem?

I want to install and buy that but if it 's not work...

This is incredible.
I have also purchased this product and tried installing it, encountering the same issues as above.
However what is more surprising is the lack of to no support for this issue.
I believe it is more than reasonable to expect at least a reply. Maybe a very negative post on the joomla site within the extensions area may get the developers attention.

I Work In The Legal Industry & Feel That This May Need Some Further Investigation As To The Validity Of The Statements Being Published Via Joomla.

Hey guys, just thought I'd jump in here, I'm not sure that paying for this plugin is a scam or not, but I do know the error you are getting has nothing to do with it, that is just a Joomla error when you try and install a Joomla 1.0 plugin on 1.5 I have modified the install process enough to get it installed, unfortunately I'm very new to Joomla and RSFiles seems to use the old Joomla 1.0 DB calls all over it so it would take time to convert it for someone like me that just doesn't know the plugin or Joomla enough yet, But I would love to help or collaborate to get this plugin working on 1.5 cause I would really love to be able to use this on my site. So if anyone with either RSFiles internals or Joomla 1.0->1.5 knowledge please contact me and lets get this converted for the author.
