New features in RSEvents! rev. 21

Joomla! event extensionRSEvents! rev. 21 includes new event functionalities, for both, the backend panel (events from multiple categories, subcategory view), as well as for the frontend (location placeholders, ticket info, frontend subcategory view).

1. New placeholders, {LocationAddress} and {LocationCountry} in event layout

Besides the existing placeholders from the previous revisions (you’ll find the complete list here ), we’ve added 2 new ones, to specify the event location:

  • {LocationAddress} to specify the event address
  • {LocationCountry} to specify the event country

New RSFinder! revision - with K2, Virtuemart and RSEvents! items quick access

RSFinder! integration with K2, Virtuemart and RSEvents!
RSFinder! is a "must have" for Joomla! administrators.

It helps you quickly access anything in the backend panel, from articles, menus to Joomla! components.

Think of the following situation: you have a website with a significant amount of articles and you want to access a specific article.

Instead of going to the “Article Manager” and apply filters to find the article, it's easier to use RSFinder.

1. Search for RSEvents! events

With RSFinder!, you can now search in backend, for events created with RSEvents!.
Just type in the RSFinder! box the first letters of your event and it will automatically display the results.

Event subcategories and a brand new rating system in RSEvents! 1.2.0

Joomla! event extensionWe’ve put a lot of passion in the new RSEvents! 1.2.0 to bring some highly requested features as the event subcategories, the rating system, the new design and email placeholders and a real-time event search module that uses Ajax technology.

Besides the added functionalities, RSEvents! has undergone through a series of code optimization for better performance.

1. Subcategories

The new RSEvents! 1.2.0 comes with an important backend functionality - ability to organize events in subcategories.

Subcategories can be displayed in frontend using the menu item “List Item from a category”, allowing you to select both categories and subcategories.

RSEvents! - Joomla! event extension The new RSEvents! rev. 17 comes with a multitude of added functionalities, of which the most important are:

1. Registered users : avatar , select name

Beginning with RSEvents! rev. 17, there are 3 more options available for registered users: you can enable avatars from Gravatar, JomSocial, Kunena, Fireboard and Community Builder, choose between Name, username or Community Builder fullname to be displayed, and link the user to the Community Builder, Joomunity or JomSocial profile.

To enable these settings, in the backend panel head to:
Components -> RSEvents! -> Settings -> Events -> Registered users details.

Discount coupons starting with RSEvents! rev. 16

RSEvents! - Joomla! event calendar extension The new RSEvents! rev. 16, comes with some new added functionalities: the most important ones are the Discount Coupons options and Colored Categories.

Discount coupons:

Since rev. 16, the users can use discount coupons, when they are registering to an event. The coupon code will be introduced before making a new ticket payment.

To create discount coupons, in the backend Joomla! panel head to:
Components -> RSEvents! -> Events -> select the event for which you want to add coupons -> Registration -> Manage tickets type -> Click on the Coupons icon. Here you can automatically generate coupons, set the coupon type: value or percentage and the discount value.
