TOPIC: Where to Go For Help?

Where to Go For Help? 2 years, 7 months ago #7955

Hello,
I paid for a subscription to RS Joomla, and I am running RS Form Pro right now. But when I posted a question, it got no responses at all in this forum. I notice that most of the other questions in the RS Form Pro area get 0 responses.

Where should paying customers go to get actual help with questions on products from RS Joomla?

Hello,

The support policy clearly states:
You are eligible for support only if you direct your inquiries to RSJoomla! by completing the form located at this address, or by going to Customer Support and clicking on the Ask a question link from the top menu of our website.
...
A public forum is available to registered members on the website for community-based support. RSJoomla! does not guarantee responses on the forum nor that we commit to monitor it.

Furthermore, there's a top message on the forum that says:
The forum is provided to exchange information and experience with other users ONLY. Forum responses are not guaranteed.
Please submit a ticket to receive your official RSJoomla! customer support.

To get a professional support, please submit a ticket here:

Please note: my help is not official customer support. To receive your support, submit a ticket by clicking here

I think they could have been more considerate on their reply. One thing forums are SUPPOSED to provide is a community of supporters who try and experience the same issues and not just get responses from forum moderators. It would be nice to see more reponses posted on these forums from users of each of the different softwares so other users can read what they have gone through and applied. Isn't that the whole idea behind a public forum? Just one look at the joomla.org forums shows you what a great public and registered support forum looks like.
