option to show "checkbox group" in a modal pop-up window

When designing a form, sometimes there will be many checkbox options (multi-selection) for one field. For example: which city/cities are you going to visit in next year : 1 . Beijing 2. ShangHai 3. Xi'an 4. ShenZhen 5. HongKong ..... 49. New York 50. Tokoyo 51. LonDon Well, how will you display those 51 options ? Don't you think they will stretch the form too long if you just display them on the same page ? A better solution is: we just show a small button after the field label , such as: which city/cities are you going to visit in next year : (button: click here to choose your beloved city/cities) When the visitor click on that button, a modal pop-up will show up and there, he can see all those 51 options , and then he can choose 1 or more options and check/tick them, then click on a button "OK" to close the modal pop-up and return to the form.
