Can I enable statistics at the top level folder or do I have to enable it for each file added? I tried just enabling at the top but it didn't work. Is there a way to tell if statistics are enabled?

The only way I can find to do this is by hand or in the database.
The problem in the database is, that you don't have a unique field to define a file or folder.
